YAWL Game Demo
Demonstration video showing the QUT YAWL workflow system controlling a game. The grey user interface, spawning of enemies and registration of killings is coordinated by the YAWL workflow tool, developed at QUT, Brisbane, Australia. This shows how easy it is to give a 3D interface to workflow systems. Create My Social Justice Ride - Part 1
Ever seen MTV's Pimp My Ride? What if that creative medium was used to promote social justice issues such as counter child-traffic Ever seen MTV's Pimp My Ride? What if that creative medium was used to promote social justice issues such as counter child-trafficking? Well, creative university students, 4wd enthusiasts and non-profit practitioners are doing just that. Queensland University of Technology, Good Deeds International and 4wd TV is co-ordinating Create My Social Justice Ride -- an educational, inspirational and bold attempted to capture your hearts and imagination to support the reduction of modern day child slavery. Over the course of 12 months, we will air 4-8 videos on 4wd TV, Australians most watched public program which boasts 500,000 weekly viewers. Australia's soon-to-be "most environmentally friendly" multimedia monster truck, Big Deeds, provides a fantastic opportunity for students, the local and international community, 4wd enthusiasts and 4x4 businesses to engage in positive community development as part of a project designed to raise awareness of global social justice issues and the 4wd industry's 'greener' attributes. Why a truck you ask? Our strategy is very clear. We are building a national symbol with the support of volunteers, local business and sponsors. This hands-on initiative encourages a sense of ownership and commitment by uniting a broad spectrum of stakeholders in an inspirational, creative and transformative process. Once we have inspired enthusiasm and feelings of ownership within the community, and transformed this old, iconic Australian vehicle into a 'state of the art', 'green' and multimedia monster truck, we will then use Big Deeds to promote our specific volunteer projects and our generous sponsors. Big Deeds, will be a distinctive feature on the philanthropic landscape in Australia by 2018 promoting creative volunteer projects for the next 10 years! Rather than a trademark, we are building a symbol, a 'love mark' for bold and creative philanthropy in Australia. In this regard, Create My Social Justice Ride is an inspirational medium for spreading one of today's most important messages -- that all children deserve to live in dignity with freedom from fear and exploitation.
